KGI
Hello,We have successfully (or not as the case may be) removed our Prestashop from one ISP to that of another. The front office seems to work just fine and the search facility also works. However in the Back office when making a search from a part number/customer – the search result simply says “TAB DOES NOT EXIST”Please any ideas on how to correct this.May thanksIan
KGI
Further infomation. The search facility in the Back Office does not find new products that have been entered - so it looks like the whole search facility in the Back office is corrupt in one way or another. So the next question we have - which section of PS (directories) could we re-load and over write what we have already installed.(All the orginal PS files anre still on our previous ISP and we can copy the correct directory if we know which one it is)Thank you in advance for any help on this subject.Ian
KGI
RESOLVEDA simple report here about this so that other users of PS can learn from our findings (and for those who use 1and1 and have trouble with making PS work properly as one previous PS posting has reported)As stated we have moved to a new ISP. We have chosen to name them as we think they are a very helpful team and so far they have assisted and resolved a number of small issues that have occurred when we transferred the original PS shop from the old outgoing ISP to our new ISP Vidahost.com we have been dealing with a chap by the name of Dominic who seems to know his stuff very well and has been very quick learn PS script and spot “our” uploaded errors. So they researched our files and found that one of the files known as admin/tabs/AdminSearch.php (the admin name you may have changed as requested to you own name) although was loaded was actually empty – and it was a case of simply re-uploading that file and hey presto the fault has been fixed.I would like it known that it is a rare case of any ISP actually spending some of their time to resolve an issue with a new customer with no charge what so ever.So fellow PS users, although there are many good ISP out there – we recommend Vidahost.com who offer a genuine and I mean GENUINE service to their customers, backed up with a fantastic support knowledge base and very quick replies by email. Which is what you need when things go wrong. So if you are thinking about changing your ISP go have a look at their web site Vidahost.com (It seems they also have an autoinstaller for Prestashop so even more important to visit their site)Kind regardsIan
