addstuff module

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I downloaded this module called addstuff

http://www.ecartservice.net/05082008/addstuff-for-prestashop/

How do i install it?

I went to add a module on the back end and it said, file needs to be in .tar format.

Then I extracted the folder and manually placed it in the modules folder, then i wen to back end and it would not show up on the modules page.

Anything I am doing wrong.

cheers

Hi HDavy.

Let's see if I can save PaulC a little typing.

download addstuff_0_4.zip
extract the zipfile to addstuff_0_4
open the folder to find addstuff folder

copy addstuff folder to your modules folder

In your back office goto modules and you will see AddStuff v0.4 (Top one)

click install to install it and then click configure

type
mystuff.html
into the box and click update stuff

you should now see Add Stuff added to your webpage underneath payment methods

mystuff.html can then be re-written how you want it.

Hope this helps

Ken

Thank pal, this works perfect, one more question, if you dont mind. How do i clone this baby? I would like to use a diffrent script on the right side of the page.

What i tried, i copied the folder and called it addstuff2, but it would not show up in the modules. Do i have to change something inside, like in the tpl or php file.

Thanks once again pal

In the addstuff2 directory rename addstuff.* to addstuff2.*

Edit the files and change all the occurrences of addstuff to addstuff2 (search and replace should be fine). That should do it.

Most important step of all......

---->Enjoy! :lol:

I'm thinking of releasing MoreStuff shortly, to help folks out who don't want to mess about editing files....
