eikon13
Hi, I know many people had this problem, but I can't find an easy and clear solution to it, so I will try with a new post. I am using Prestashop 1.6.1.0 and a custom theme. I made a minor change to the first Core e-mail and that messed up everything. Now the template show me a blu background in the HTML version, even tho it looks ok if I go on the "Modify HTML version". Moreover, all translations for the email disappeared! It would tell me about missing directories, that I then created but with no content. It's a big mess now! Situation, as it is now: EMAIL TEMPLATES > DEFAULT-BOOTSTRAP THEME > ENGLISH Core emails are OK but all other e-mails are missing giving this message: C'è un problema nel ricevere il file di posta.Assicurati che i files inglesi presenti nella cartella /home/docpharm/public_html/lattepannolini.it/themes/default-bootstrap/modules/blockwishlist/mails/en/ There is a problem receiving mail files. Be sure that english files are in the folder home/docpharm/public_html/lattepannolini.it/themes/default-bootstrap/modules/blockwishlist/mails/en/ I verified and the folder is there but empty, as said. And I also get a message that mail directories for the other modules are missing. EMAIL TEMPLATES > DEFAULT-BOOTSTRAP THEME > ITALIAN Same problem as above, but also for Core emails EMAIL TEMPLATES > CUSTOM-TEMPLATE > ENGLISH Same problem as above, also for Core emails and top red message: Il file di traduzione dell'oggetto email non è stato trovato in "/home/docpharm/public_html/lattepannolini.it/themes/genesis/mails/en/". No e-mail subject translation file found on ""/home/docpharm/public_html/lattepannolini.it/themes/genesis/mails/en/" EMAIL TEMPLATES > CUSTOM-TEMPLATE > ITALIAN Same problem as above, but no red message. I can start restoring all single folders that the system is telling me are missing, but what content do I put in them? How can I restore the original templates and translation for all emails? Core + all single modules...? I am going crazy after this... Thanks to all for your help! Let me know if you need more info. John
shacker
ok, you are translating the mail templates for the theme. you can try to reupload the mail templates from your theme, or try to set the default theme again, and check if the mails work,

garyjj127
I also had this problem. Luckily I had a back up of the email files. Basically they are fine UNLESS you alter them in Prestashop. As soon as you press save, all the text formatting gets wiped out. I checked a modified file against the original, and Prestashop strips ALL of the code outside the <body> tag. I have no idea why, but its extremely annoying!

Gert Van den Brande
Hi, How do you reload the mail-templates for a theme? In my case, I use the default bootstrap theme, and I have only the dutch templates, but NO English templates. I don't know how I can reload them. Thanks for your help in this. shacker
in the mail folder, check the en folder. You can download from the prestashop.zip and upload to your site again
Gert Van den Brande
in the mail folder, check the en folder. You can download from the prestashop.zip and upload to your site again Thanks for your reply, but this didn't work. I have downloaded En-US instead of EN-GB and this works. I changed in the template folder GB to EN, and the problem was solved.

Holohugo
For all who facing this issue - got this problem today, PS:1.6.1.13. Checked out logs and see "missing tamplate". I go down to FTP, check it and everything was there as it should be, but for some reason, the leanguage folder was named in CAPITAL LETTERS. For me, English and Czech was "EN" and "CS". I rename those to non-capitalized "en" and "cs" and everything starts to work again.
