Orders not created after successful payment on paypal

Dear Team,

I have surfed lots and noticed that many people are having the issue that I am facing but I could not find any solution on any threads.

I have my cart connected with the Paypal USA module. Everything works fine except the order does not get updated. The payment is done and then nothing happens.

The message I get when it returns to my site is below:

Order history

Here are the orders you've placed since your account was created.

You have not placed any orders.

Can anyone please please please help me to sort this out?

My site is on www.kadoforme.com

Regards,

IR

the easiest fix is to stop using this broken and unsupported module (it has not been updated in over a year), and Prestashop refuses to apply fixes that have been submitted.

I would suggest you perform a google search for other paypal modules (paid ones), and use those.

This module has not been correct in some time I have reported this issue several times over several versions of Prestashop to no avail.

I took an Older PayPal module 3.6.8 and updated the PayPal connect to the new TLS security and all is fine you can find and download this module here.

Ok, I'm still having an issue with paypal taking payment but not creating orders. I've been surfing and looking, tried most everyones fixes but nothing works, I've been trying to figure out why fresh installations of prestashop aren't having an issue, just updated sites. So here's what I think, when you install a fresh copy of prestashop it checks several things and asks you to correct the issues. One of the things it checks is something called "Magic Quotes", to see if it is disabled, when this has not been disabled it adds a \  to ' and  \\ to " in php files. When it adds the \ to validation.php post function, it returns it to paypal, which not recognizing it sends back invalid to the website. Now what I haven't been able to figure out is how to disable magic quotes easily without modifying the php.ini file. Anyone with any ideas? (it throws a "cant save order at line 232 -overrides/classes/paymentmodules.php" error) I'm using 1.6.1.3 and paypal 1.3.9 usa version.

Thanks.

Have the customer change address so they match, if they want to ship to another address have them add that as a shipping address.
