Category Image Alignment

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to align the category images on my Prestashop 1.6 site to the right.

The problem is that

  1. the text is appearing over the displayed images.
  2. The category title is in white and so is invisible on a white background

I read the forum and found many suggestions about editing the category.css file.

This has not worked and I have now done something to make the category pictures appear very large and pixelated.

I don't know know what I did. Please HELP!

Here's an update. The problem of size of the category images is fixed.

Had changed the default value in Preferences -> Images to 217 x 217 following a post I had read.

Changed it back to 1170 x 217 and its ok now.

However still unable to correctly align category images and change category name font colour

Thanks in advance.

HI Paul,

Thanks for your response. That worked just fine. I have been able to change the colour of the category title.

Now I need help in re-alingning some elements on the page.

Is there a way I can bring down the image so that the text is not overlayed on the image

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your response.

Alas I have already found this and been through it. Still can get the image over to the right.

Though I'm not using the default 1.6.1 them, I made the "background-position: right !important;" change to my category.css file.

Then changed the category_default image size setting in the BO....preferences->images to 217 x 217.

This did not move my image to the right.

Instead when I regenerated the images it blew up the image size as I mentioned in a previous post.

I have searched google for about 4 days now and still have no solution. Not very happy as it makes categories look all hotch potch and very unprofessional.

Hope someone out there can help me.
