Cart rules slowing the workflow after an upgrade

Hello,

 

I just upgraded a website from 1.4 to 1.6.

In the years between the two versions, discounting has changed and now I have quite a lot of cart rules which appear to slow down the website.

 

I have noticed that many people has the problem, but I could not really find a solution.

I came to realise that in CartRule::getCustomerCartRules some queries are executed in loops, this looks a lot like what could be causing the problem.

 

Has anyone managed to solve this?
