peanutandbuddy
I haven't changed anything in the back office and now all of a sudden I'm getting Hack Attempt. What causes it and how do I fix it? Thanks!

jtyana
I'd better stop looking. You have some really nice stuff
peanutandbuddy
Thanks jtyana! That really makes me feel good. It's weird, on a computer other than the one I input the data, you can see the website fine, but on the one I use gets "hack attempt". I cleared the cache and I'm still getting the same "hack attempt". Why?
phillipjfry
This happened to me when i removed the FR-French country out of my options. Replace it and just keep it hidden from your users and you should not have this problem anymore.
peanutandbuddy
Thanks phillipjfry, I'll look into re-adding French back.I deleted all languages but English weeks ago, I've had the site up and running for weeks and now all of a sudden, I get the hack attempt. I would really like to find out why it is just now happening.
jtyana
Wonder if it's a cookie thing. Maybe cookie just expiredGo back and save your country as the default country and try againMakes no sense but why not just try I think that there is no need to input France again. I think the problem is deleting the country which is set as the default country. In a default install, that was France.I read somewhere here that a simple [save] is enough to unconfuse the databaseOr what I did was put France back in, changed my default country, then deleted FranceA better option would be to move to Paris but that is a bit expensive for me at the moment
peanutandbuddy
jtyana - You are a genius!! It was the cookies, I didn't think to delete them only the cache. Thank you! ;-)
Take
There seems to be several threads about this "Hack attempt" -problem. I had the same as well with every browser regardless of cookies or cache. Problem was, based on another threads, that I removed translations which are needed by prestashop instead of just disabling them. Complete reinstall fixed the problem at hand, but that's more going around of the problem instead of fixing it. I didn't browse bug tracker trough if there's any mention about this, but I'd really like to say that that's a bug and not something related to browser settings.Has anyone searched this issue any deeper? Yes, the Hack Attempt issue seems not only cookies or cache.I have installed Prestashop and started input products. Everything works fine....but 2 days ago, I suddenly received "hack Attempt" when I tried to log in BO. I searched this forum and google and read many posts and tried delete cookies and cache...and also created another administrator in MyphpAdmin. Nothing works. However, yesterday I suddenly managed to login in so I immediately created another user as administrator. Everything worked fine...but only yesterday. I again can't login to my shop BO. The Hack Attempt thing again happens....just "Hack Attempt" shows.Does anyone can manage to help? Many thanks!
