Customer Import Not Working

Recommended Posts

Customers/clients will NOT import and I have followed all of the instructions, lined up the fields, and nothing works. I am trying to import with a comma delimited CSV file that has all of the Prestashop fields that are required. I have PS 1.6.0.14

What information do you need and how can I get this to be fixed?

Thank you,

Jadzia

I've never had the need to import customers before but I can try and help you.

Have you checked your file against the sample import file? You can download it by going to your Prestashop Admin > "Advanced Parameters" > "CSV Import" then click on the sample customers link on the right of the page.

Feel free to PM me the file you are trying to import or a sample of it and I'll be happy take a look at it.

Thank you for responding. I have tried to download the sample import file but it opens in Excel with a blank document. So I opened it in Notepad and then duplicated the information in a new CSV file. Then I filled in each of the columns. So I know that the file I'm using is correct.

When I turn on debug mode I get this warning that shows up: warning on line 2456 of controllers/admin/AdminImportController. But that warning only shows up if I try to import the same customer file twice. If I delete the customers and reupload the file no warnings come up at all. It just has an entire list of the customer email addresses and next to each one states: cannot save. But reason WHY.

Any ideas would be great.

Okay, this is still not importing my customers. I have a CSV file with all of the proper columns. I've turned debug mode on and the only thing that shows up is this:

12 errors

  1. email address (ID: 2) cannot be saved
  2. Property Customer->birthday is not valid
  3. email address (ID: 3) cannot be saved
  4. email address (ID: 4) cannot be saved
  5. email address (ID: 5) cannot be saved
  6. email address (ID: 7) cannot be saved
  7. email address (ID: 8) cannot be saved
  8. email address (ID: 737) cannot be saved
  9. email address (ID: 9) cannot be saved
  10. email address (ID: 10) cannot be saved
  11. email address (ID: 11) cannot be saved
  12. email address (ID: 12) cannot be saved

This is my test file with 12 test customers. For privacy I have replaced their actual email address with the text "email address" in the error. After importing and getting this error, no new customers show up in my customers section.

Please help to figure out why the import tool is not working or what I need to fix in the CSV.

  • 8 months later...

I know this has been here for a while now.  I just came across this issue:

I'm trying to import customers from a .csv file (not exported from Prestashop).
But when i import the CSV file and after all fields are mapped i get the message that import was successfully done, but no customers appear on the customers menu. I even tried with the customer sample file from Prestashop by downloading it and importing it to my shop.

I have 8 shops, and I am the super admin.  I chose the shop I need to import from the drop down list first before I imported it.  Any help will be great.  I will be happy to share login via PM
