Is there a way to disable the "product availability" box on the product page?

Simple to disable this Availability text on Product page
on Back Office: Tab - Preferences > Products

There available text like below:
Display available quantities on product page: set to No

and then remember when you add the product
Quantity: [ ] <-- if you want to use management stock of your product
Displayed text when in-stock: [ don't input anytext here just blank ]
Displayed text when allowed to be back-ordered: [ don't input anytext here just blank ]

Just that way step by step you are to disable "product availability" on product page.

I did what you said, but it's not working.
The "Available" text still appears on my site.

What else can i do to disable the "available" text from my site?

Anyone? I still didn't manage to disable "Available" text from my 1.2.5 prestashop version.

I think you should try to edit the file product.tpl in your theme folder, the part under <!-- Avaibility -->. Just comment it out {* *}, and see the result.
