Lotsa Luv
Hi all, I have been working on a webstore through PrestaShop over the past few months and am really enjoying it (look forward to going live once I get a few things figured out). I was experiencing some issues with PayPal and when I saw an upgrade was available for PrestaShop I thought "cool! maybe this will help fix my issue!"... well now I can't upgrade. I have Installed and tried to use the 1-Click Upgrade in PrestaShop. When I click on it from Advanced Parameters the browser thinks for a bit and then just brings me to a blank, white page. It essentially crashes and I have to re-login to PrestaShop. I have also downloaded the file, uploaded it using Filezilla, and have attempted to Upgrade in the same fashion I installed originally (new subdomain) but I can get as far as to Accept the Terms and Agreement before it also gives me the white blank page and I have to re-direct to the beginning. When I first Installed PrestaShop on my server it took me 3 or 4 tries before it would stop failing in the process, to fix it I just un-installed all the files and then re-uploaded them (took several days). And I have tried this again this time around, I have tried to re-upload the file about 3 times now - gave up for 2 weeks and tried again today... same results. I have also tried using both Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers (fully updated). I have tried multiple computers, I have also tried turning off my anti-virus just in case that was blocking somthing somehow. I have a feeling I am just missing something. Any insight, tips, or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

When we receive blank page this is where we want to stop and find the underlying error. Then we can make some choices on how to proceed. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/224525-how-to-turn-on-error-reporting-for-debug-information-blank-page-500-internal-server-error/ Reading your post and in review of your historical issues I suspect hosting that is not up to the job of running PS. That is just a feeling.
Lotsa Luv
Thank you, I tried to turn on the Error Reporting per the instructions on the link you provided. I edited the .php in both FTP (FileZilla) as well as through the Host Control Panel (One.com) and I am unable to get any error to appear anywhere. Should I be looking some where specific (other than on the blank white page that appears?) Maybe it is possible my host isn't up to running PS.... but they had suggested I use PS because it is one of the only webstores compatible. So don't give up. as for editing php.ini, use this free module so you can see at runtime what values are set in php from your back office. It will also show you patch of php.ini file being used. Note: if you are unable to get errors to display then contact your hosting company for assistance. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/278164-free-module-display-php-environment-phpinfo-back-office/
usengines
One of the upgrades we attempt to do to 1.6.1 on jointsystems.com is stuck in the version comparison. The time out on both just keeps going around for 2 days., In the mean time hundreds of temporary redirects have been created. Autoupgrade is also stuck in Expert mode with no apparent way to get out. Could not get out of the mantenance mode as the choice would not even come up. Only way to reactivate the store was to put it un der a multi-shop.
