Hi, it is just easy to do that from PS backend. go to Preferences menu>SEO & URLs sub-menu, on the page that opens scroll down to the panel labeled Set Up URLs where you will find canonical urls options. Hi,

You want SEO friendly URLS for all webpages or only 2 pages need canonical urls.

Also provide information these 2 pages are cms pages or product pages.

Prestashop has settings at back-office ,this saves coding time.
