maximusimo
Hi there, we use Ogone as our payment provider and once you are redirected to our PrestaShop site after paying the order is generated within PrestaShop. This works fine. The problem is where multiple customers add the same product to their cart and check out and pay at the same time as each other the product they are both buying is going into minus - how can this be prevented? Banack
I think this is an enormous deficiency in Prestashop The problem is where multiple customers add the same product to their cart and check out and pay at the same time as each other the product they are both buying is going into minus - how can this be prevented? I'm experiencing the same problem on PS 1.5.6.2 from what i understand you just want decrease quantity of product, when someone will add it to cart? I think that PS must prevent a customer to purchase a product while another customer is already at the payment gateway (of course when the product has "Ordering of Out of Stock" disabled and quantity = 1)
Nixnix
Can anyone share some insight on this? Is it even technically possible to do what vekia suggests in post #2? Or are there any other solutions, such as a temporary reservation somehow? For example: Add to cart reserves it for 15 minutes. Especially during special sales we have noticed it is not unusual to happen and it is always very bad to let a customer know we can not deliver what they legitimately ordered (when the software is to blame...). baerenwolle
I would appreciate insight on this as well. I am currently migrating my shop from Woocommerce to Prestashop. My shop is updated with new stock on a weekly basis, and I get high traffic and many people trying to purchase a rather small quantity of stock items. Overselling has been an issue with Woocommerce, and I definitely don't want that with Prestashop.
AndriusJega
Are there any news on this issue? I think that temporary reservation would solve the problem. Does anyone knows how to do that?
