[SOLVED] Having price displayed only after adding to cart

I am trying to find a way to have product pages display "add to cart for price" and forcing them to add said product to their cart before the price of an item will be displayed to them. Is there a relatively painless way to go about getting this done?

I have modified my product.tpl file in my theme folder to remove the price for all the products in a category and only shows up in the shopping cart. However, now I am trying to remove the price in the list of products after looking at a category or doing a search and cant find where I need to modify the product-list.tpl. I imagine it's somewhere under div class = "right block" but I have yet to get it to work. Any insight would be appreciated.

turns out I was referencing the variable incorrectly.
