How we replace the home page .jpg image with swapping image or animated gif image?

I know how to replace the home page image with same name jpg image BUT I need to replace that image with a swapping image OR animated .gif image? Help Me please.

Edit modules/editorial/editorial.tpl and change line 4 from:

{if $homepage_logo}body->$title|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'|stripslashes}" />

to:

{if $homepage_logo}body->$title|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'|stripslashes}" />

Then put homepage_logo.gif in the modules/editorial directory.

Thanks Rocky, I tried this way yesterday, it work good (I edited another file in the same way, editorial.php, wasn't it necessary?).
