jucedupp
Hi there Here is the scenario: One main (default) store that acts as the main controller for stock. 1) Can each store run on it's own domain entirely? Such as shop1.com instead of http://domain.com/store1 http://domain.com/store2 2) Can each store have it's own back-end interface and URL (in so much that store1 admin does not even know about store2 admin)? 3) Can the "sub-stores" add their own stock that is not available in the default or main stores? Scenario: Imagine a large shoe manufacturer. This manufacturer has their own products. They also rebrand shoes and sell them through small retailers that do not have their own web presence. The manufacturer creates branded sub-stores on their own urls for each retailer. But retailer1 must not know about retailer2. Also retailer1 needs to be able to add their own stock that is not added by the manufacturer. Is this possible? Thanks J
selectshop.at
1) For the domain: not if the domain is the same as stated on your example. You should in this case add real sub-domains. shop1.yourdomain.com and shop2.yourdomain.com. The link you stated are not subdomains, but one domain and 2 sub-folders. This is not possible to have as multi-store. 2) no. Multistore option in Prestashop is one database, one back-end for to manage more than one store with it. 3) Yes. Per domain you can add the categories and products you want they are active in each store. If you want to use your store as market place for retailers, than you should use a re-seller module like Agile multivendors: http://addons-modules.com/store/en/multiple-sellershop-/21-agile-prestashop-multiple-seller-vendor-module.html
