hi,

when i'm entering the module page in the admin panel :

8 errors

[autoupgrade] Error found in config file: Unescaped '<' not allowed in attributes values
[autoupgrade] Error found in config file: attributes construct error
[autoupgrade] Error found in config file: Couldn't find end of Start Tag badge line 2
[autoupgrade] Error found in config file: Opening and ending tag mismatch: br line 2 and badge
[pagesnotfound] Error found in config file: Unescaped '<' not allowed in attributes values
[pagesnotfound] Error found in config file: attributes construct error
[pagesnotfound] Error found in config file: Couldn't find end of Start Tag badge line 2
[pagesnotfound] Error found in config file: Opening and ending tag mismatch: br line 2

but i didnt change nothing ....

what to do ?

can i fix it ?

We are running several customer's 1.6 site experiencing the same problem from this morining,

I think something in crashing on the Prestashop side during the /config/xml files generation.

Actually :/ after delete the .xml inside each module work just a second, but where the .xml was rebuilt the error back again :/

UPDATE: If I remove the XML folder inside CONFIG folder the error disappear but it's very slow open the modules page

we are also having the problem on many shop

cleaning in the config xml file does not resolve because when you regenerate the error recurs

edit the file default_country_modules_list.xml

Change the value label in the tags badge. There is a HTML tag !!!!

<badge label="Official Partner"> change in <badge label="Official Partner">

Changes all the value in the XML!!!!!

BUT: can anyone tell me, how this file is updated/where does it come from? Is it updated automatically from Addons-Store!?

A bit confused about that ... does anyone know more?

Giorgio,

copy and paste the xml content here /(http://www.freeformatter.com/xml-formatter.html) ore in other xml editor and check the error.

In my case, the HTML code inside a value was a problem as show also the Prestashop error "Unescaped '<' not allowed in attributes values"

Maybe the error is also in other file and not only in default_country_modules_list.xml

I removed all tags from the file (about 20) and it is "solved". Just curious now how it happened?

This files seems to contain valid values for default modules list showed in BO

and it is periodically retrieved from Prestashop servers.

There should have been some values upgrade somewhere in PS servers that messed the things up today.

The temporary workaround to replace works but you also need to set the file read-only

on your server until PS team fix things.

here are the steps (worked for me ) :

go to config/xml/

open and edit the file default_country_modules_list.xml - i've opened it with notepad++

replace all tags : with space.

save the file

that's it !

these errors are connected to this tag and first symbol "<" crashes whole upgrade process etc.

if you will check your XML module, you will see that entry related to advancetopmenu contains this tag

There are 27 entries in the actual XML file. You should replace them all with whitespaces.

This should be fixed on addons server now. Please clear your cache in Performances tab, this should renew xml files.

Gregory reported that problem on prestashop server side is fixed

everyone can delete file and refresh modules section in back office or just clear cache

everything will be okay then
