Skip shipping page for just some items

Hello,

I have a shop with two software products. Each of them has a boxed version and a download version.

The boxed version has shipping costs but the download version not (obviously).

For each product I have set up the box/download option as an attribute, so users select what version they want in the product page.

I have succeded in not charging for shipping of the download versions assigning them a high weight and assigning the shipping costs based on weight (is there a better way of doing this?)

But the problem now is: How can I skip the shipping page for the download products? It's kind of weird to get this page for this products.

I would really appreciate your help on this.
