Combinations generator wrong default and quantity

Hi guys my client has been updating items to his prestashop and has done something to make it go A-Wall. When we now produce products in the product combination generator, even if we give a quantity of 10 in the front office the product still shows only 1 in stock and the warning sign.

Also no matter what combination i select only the default combination goes into the cart?

Any ideas on what could have gone wrong and how to fix would be great
