Can't uninstall or even disable custom theme modules?

Recommended Posts

I regrettably purchased and installed the "Panda" theme from themeforest for prestashop.  I say regrettably because it is just full of bugs and I'm getting a little annoyed.

Anyway, I'm just trying to troubleshoot something and went to disable their Quick Search module.  Click disable and the page reloads and it still says "configure" and I can try disabling it again... over and over...  nothing ever actually happens and it is still there.

So I try to uninstall it.  This is even worse!  Prestashop gives me a nice green indication and confirms to me in no uncertain terms that the module has been successfully uninstalled!  But nope, there it is... still with "configure".  Again, I can repeatedly "uninstall" it, but it doesn't go anywhere and I still have this stupid search bar in my header!

WTF.

OK, blame the module, right?  But no.. it is PS that's supposed to manage install/uninstall and it isn't doing a very good job of it right now!

Thanks for responding.  I didn't change the theme from one to another, but I did update the theme's package.

In any event, I had so many bugs with it that I decided to do (yet another) free install of PS and the theme and now I can disable that module and it appears to work normally.

Is it you again Steeve :P

Howdy buddy!

Look for third party themes, they have their own modules folder along with the main one in root directory. So after uninstalling the module, delete it in all "Modules" folders whether in themes folders or root "Modules" directory. Then, boom, it is gone from shop!
