I have a problem whereby in back office my translation fields are missing:

My LIVE shop is the photo missing "About Us" this is the same for all flags I click.

I have just installed a DEMO shop and it is showing the second field for translation which I need.

Is there a quick fix??

Look to your live shop theme directory. There is file about-us.tpl. This is the key. I think You are missing fallowing part at your theme about-us.tpl file:
{l s='[Describe your shop in a few sentences]'}
