[Solved] Upgrading multistore from 1.6.0.14 to 1.6.1.0: messed up categories

Hello,

I was playing with upgrading to 1.6.1 on staging server.

After bringing the store out of maintenance for each shop, the themes were reset to default bootstrap.

No problem, I can just reconfig that.

 

So I go to Advanced params - Multistore and edit my individual themes

- select child shop

- select correct theme

then an error is produced.

Error is attached.

 

So the categories list is empty, I'm unable to select anything there.

EDIT: UPDATE

the theme works now after clearing all cache again but the error still occurs.

Should I worry about something broken?

I still get this error, is there a way to manually fix this in Db for example?

I just want to have the Associated categories listed again.

Hope this helps, seems like my categories got corrupted somehow. Good thing I'm working on our staging environment.

 

edit: seems like for some categories my translations are gone, too. Nice mess I got myself into.

edit2: some categories are just gone: children of olienu/any-subcat are gone

Yeah, so I just reinstalled from scratch and imported my data. Too many issues with the upgrade unfortunately.

Took some time but now I see many different things in 1.6.1 that I did not see with a 1-click-upgrade. I think I will do it like this from now on in the future.
