Delete "Sort by" from the list

On the product category, there is the option of filtering called "Sort by". The drop down list contain, again, "Sort by". I need to delete and set default "Price: Lowest first".

Any idea how to do it?

Not sure if it works for you, as you seem to have a custom theme, but normally you can set the default sort order in Preferences->Products. There you can set the default sort order and Ascending/Descending option in the Pagination preferences block.

Yes, indeed, i have a custom theme. I need to hide "Sort by", not from the result list but from the header (see enclosed).

Any change in the code ideas?

The code that you need to remove is in the theme file product-sort.tpl. Just search for {l s='Sort by'}. It is most probably surrounded with <label> tags, which should be also removed.
