need some help with imagemenu script

Hey,
i'm having some trouble when trying to install imagemanu jquery script in my store.
this is the original code:

i want to use it instead of the top picture in the home page (ipod's picture)
so i insert a new div in the Editorial module and i see it correctly
my problem is when i try to insert the JS code. all the home page is gone blank. i don't understand why.
maybe you can give me some help?
