Missing variables when using order_conf as new email template

Hi

 

I have missing variables when using a new email template.

 

I have renamed order_conf to order_conf2 and changed some text in the header and footer, and added the “new email template” to a new status. But when using the status, the email sent to the customer has missing variables. See picture.

 

I have been searching for a solution but without any luck, although several have similar problems.

 

 

My order process (goal)

 

When a costumer make an order:

The automatic order confirmation email is changes into “your order is received” (I do not want to confirm the order before checking my inventory). Working perfectly, all variables from order_conf is showed correctly.  

 

After checking my inventory: (where my problem is)

I change the status in back office to a new self-made status, (order confirmation and invoice) with the new email template: order_conf2. Not working perfectly = missing data: {products}, {total_products}, {delivery_block_html} etc. is showed in the the email sent to the customer.

 

When the order is ready to be shipped:

A tracking number is sent to the customer. Working perfectly

 

 

I am using Prestashop 1.6.0.14 – custom theme (megashop)

Is there any way to resolve this variable issue ?

 

On our shop we havent been using the order_conf email/status.

I have just tried to implement this to show the customer what products they have ordered, but im just getting the variable names showing in the curly brackets.

The only variable values that show are the order_name and order_total, everything else is just showing the placeholders.

 

Im on PS 1.6.1 3

 

I have already tried replacing the whole of the en folder in my template/mail folder.

I dont have any override for the mail.php file

The reason it's not working is because it's the OrderHistory::sendMail function that sends emails when the order status is changed. The order confirmation email is only sent through the PaymentModule::validateOrder function and it has more data included. By moving where the order confirmation email is sent, you've lost some data and will need to add it back in.

 

For example, change lines 424-429 of classes/OrderHistory.php from:

Not working for me at 100% - missing variables in {products} - how can I add products in the email?
