which option is best

I have the following question.

I only have one product with 10 different designs. All designs are the same price.

On the home page I only want to display images of the 10 designs. Click on an image then it takes you to the product page. similar to

http://monsieursteve.com/store/index.php

What is the best to achieve this.
(1) Set the 10 designs in the featured products module then modify homefeatured.tpl to remove prices and add to cart button etc
(2) In admin set 10 designs under one category and some how get home page to open up at that category.
(3) Develop a module to show all the product photos with links to product page.

Confused I am probably missing something here any guidance appreciated.
