mail when someone creates a new order.

Hi,

I want to receive an email when someone creates a new order.
So I installed the module mail alerts. I configured it but i don't receive any 'new order' mails.
I do receive testmails when some uses the contact form or when I create an order by myself (as a test).

Does anyone have the same problem?

I use prestashop 1.2.5.0
Mail alerts version is 2.2

Server type: Apache - PHP server (php 5.2.11)

can't find any logs and i don't see any errors.

Does the module have to be hooked up somewhere?

I think these mails are blocked by your server. Look Your server control panel - cPanel, DirectAdmin etc - they all have logs reading possibilities.

I don't think so, because i receive an email when a mail is blocked or marked as spam.
And the server is sending the emails to the clients. so mail() is working correctly.

And You have 100% sure, that your service provider doesn't have filtering for outgoing e-mails?
These e-mails what coming to Your inbox - this is other thing.

To get to know, where is the problem - you need to check your server logs - this is the fastest way.

My hosting provider doesn't allow me to take a look in the server logs. My site is hosted on a shared server.

But again, i don't think that's the problem, because i do receive other emails from prestashop...

I looked in phpmyadmin and i see that the table, mailalerts should create (as i can see in mailalerts.php) isn't created... So i think there's some bug in the mailalerts module...

No i didn't find a solution yet.

When i try to uninstall the module, i receive an error that the module is not succesfully uninstalled.

I do find other topics about this problem, but no working solutions...

All rights to folders and files are 777 chmod

I found no error in the server logs, probably because the module isn't installed correctly.

I am currently having the same issue. I am able to send (as admin), and I receive (as a customer) all emails except:

As admin I do not receive new order emails. The customer receives it, but I cannot.

Any Ideas?

I still have this problem and i didn't found any solution. I installed a new prestashop on the same server and it works on that one.

So it's not a server issue.

Please let me know if you've found a solution...

Have you set the preferances tab email to php and set up an address for it for customer service?

Yes, i've tried both settings. php mail() and smtp. I also selected customer service and after that webmaster, and still i don't receive an email with an order noticiation.
I even changed the emailadresses, but still no success.

finally i solved the problem

only need to do it

go to
/shop/modules/mailalerts/mails

originally has two languages en & fr

just duplicate en and rename it to your language for me i renamed to fa(farsi) and again copy it on that folder on your host and now i checked it's working properly

and got the mail form new order
