anm7 Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Hi I trying to upgrade prestashop from 1.2 to 1.5 everything is ok but load img in home page very slow in Administration Panel load time = 0.1 - 0.2 s. pishkus Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 I think the reason is that on a "before upgrade" site you only have one big image one home page, and its size is 51KB, and on the "after upgrade" website you have a slider with 4 images with size 800KB - 1MB. Try to optimize your images with online minimizers, like this one https://tinyjpg.com/, also enable gzip compression on your server. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm curious as to why you only upgraded to 1.5.3. 1.5 is not nearly as performance tuned as 1.6. Also keep in mind, 1.2-1.4 were 'light', 1.5 is very heavy, where 1.6 came out with boot-strap, and 'javascript' bottom. your product pages seem pretty snappy, follow pishkus idea of less heavy front page images....
