Order Change email to Customer

How can I turn off the Order Changed email to customers?  If a sales person edits and adds more products to an order the customer will get spammed for ever product/service they add on there.  How can I turn this off?  Is there a setting or will I need to change a controller?

Hello  - I am having the same problem and after studying the various options and helps how to manage Email notifications I do still have two remaining issues:

 

1. when I change an order an email is send to the customer --> how I can turn it off?

2. when a customer places an order he gets an email with the title "select payment option" next to his order confirmation which he completed successfully --> how can I stop this email notification?
