drchevalier
Hello, I am no Prestashop expert. Nonetheless we use it as the web store for my [spam-filter]'s business and it just works. I logged in to the admin panel and see that Upgrade suggests we move to 1.6.0 from the 1.4.6.2 we are currently using. We tried an upgrade once before and the new theme didn't work properly and we lost all of our images requiring us to reload them all manually because the full backup had failed. I see options to not move to the new default theme and to backup the images in the Upgrade page, so blame myself for missing those in the past. Regardless I am quite frightened of the upgrade process and am seeking some best practice advice for this. The rationale for even considering an upgrade is that the physical store has a new payment processor, EVO Canada. They say that they can integrate their Gateway Emulator into any storefront that can use the Authorize.net gateway simply by changing a couple of URLs. Of course, our Authorize.net module has no place to change any URLs. I have attached a screenshot of what we do have. I wonder if we need to upgrade the store to get a more recent Authorize.net module to make this new payment gateway work properly. Neither of us are programmers or web designers. She can operate a store and I can handle all the Mac and networking stuff but I know what I don't know and that includes coding and PHP so anytime a change is required for the store we get VERY nervous. Our store is hosted at Netfirms and getting a local backup takes forever. All guidance will be appreciated. Ross
bellini13
I don't believe upgrading the store would be necessary to just change the auth.net module to use a different URL. Upgrading the module or the store, would still not allow you to change those URLs in the module configuration page, as the PHP code would need to be changed directly anyway. My suggestion here would be to get the detailed information from EVO Canada on what URL's need to be changed, and then perhaps consider hiring a developer that can make those changes for you.
