DaveP
Hi There,Just installed PrestaShop locally and playing around with it.I have a customer that is selling childrens garments:They have sizes ( x 4 ) no impact on priceThey have fabrics ( approx 10 ) no impact on priceThey have a Letter option ( a childs letter - e.g. 'D' for David ) that is an increase in priceThey have a Shape option ( e.g. a picture of a Cat ) that is an increase in price.I started adding the letters of the alphabet with each one adding $4 to the price. But how do I make the drop down have an option of NONE.The price addition of $4 impacts all entries....Cheers, Dave
rocky
You'll need to add a "None" attribute to the attribute group and give it an attribute impact of 0.
DaveP
Thanks for getting back, but sorry I just don't quite get it !I have an Attribute group called Letter with 26 options ( the letters of the alphabet )This attribute increases the price of the product by $4.00But I can't seem to add a 27th option called NONE to have no impact on the price as the $4.00 is on the whole group, not on the individual items...If I add a new Attribute Group called None, I just don't see how that helps !TIA, Dave
rocky
You need to add "None" as an attribute of the "Letter" attribute group, not as a separate attribute group. Then on the Product Combinations Generator, enter the price impact of "None" to 0 and the price impact of "A" to "Z" to $4.
DaveP
OK, I'm trying to do this as we speak.I've entered 'A', 'B' & 'C' and just added 'None'. But the field that says:'Impact on Price' >>> select 'Increase >> and enter my $4.00, seems to be for the list as a whole, not the individual entries ?What am I doing wrong...Also the list of attributes, don't appear to stay in the order I enter them. How do I make it so ?TIA, Dave
rocky
You shouldn't add attributes using the "3. Combinations" tab. That should be used for fine-tuning attributes only. You should click the Product Combinations Generator at the top of the "3. Combinations" tab, then select all the applicable attributes, click Add, then enter the price impacts, then click Generate and then "Back to Product". webby
Thank you for posting this! I've been reading on this forum for 2 days and finally came across this post. One question I do have, when I added my images in the generator, it comes out in one column, I have about 90 fabric swatches to add and that would make for one long page. This is what I have so far; http://www.missmadisonfinelinens.com/store/product.php?id_product=11Where do I go to create 2 or even 3 columns? Also, how can you take out the Weight attribute? Thanks for any help!
rocky
It looks like you are using my Product Attributes module. You should go to Modules > Product Attributes v1.3.1 (in the Products section) > Configure to change my module's settings. Change "Display weight" to X, then click Save to remove the weight column. It is not possible to create two or three columns with my module.
