shipping expenses do not appear using weight

Hello.

- Version 1.2.4_ITALY.

- I set a carrier with 3 weight ranges and I put the weigth in each product. I set this carrier as default.

- I test adding products to the chart but shipping expenses ARE ALWAYS ZERO.

I also have another carrier that gives this error when I try to delete it: Carrier -> name length > 64
( I suppose too long name). When I use this carrier with price option for billing (instead of weight option) shipping expenses appear.

The product tab seems ok: I have set the weight and I get no error in saving it. I checked Zone and Countries and seems all ok. I'm really getting mad: why expenses do not appear with weight option for billing ?
