How do I change the size of images in the frontend?

I want bigger pictures when the customer wants a magnified image of the product such as 750 px width, but how do I change it?

In your Backoffice go to Preferences -> Images.

There you can alter the size of the images, and regenerate the changed size afterwards (bottom of page).

 

Change the right image type. So if you want to change the thickbox size, go to your website and check the name of the image in the thickbox. (right click and view image info).

There you'll see something like: large_default or thickbox_default.

This is image type you'll need to change in the backoffice.
