ylli
Hello, I am thinking switching to prestashop from magento because magento needs expensive hosting to maintain good performance. I would like to know what is the performance of prestashop if i have 10000 products and up to 100 clients online at the same time. Assume i am using an average server to host my shop. What is prestashop average speed of loading ? And is it a good idea to switch from magento to prestashop for that many products i have ? Thanks
Dh42
A properly set up dedicated server should not have an issue hosting a site like that. Sure there are lots of sites with larger product catalogs than that running PrestaShop.
JPresta.com
I saw a Prestashop store with more than 280000 products! No kidding!
Tung at RockPOS.com
10000 products is not a problem. But from my own experience, your category tree should be simple. If your tree comes with too many levels, it will slow down your block of categories. Also, it depends quite much on your theme and your modules you are using. With the fresh copy of PrestaShop, I'm pretty sure that, it will be okay for you. We, ourselves, develop several modules and we understand the importance of that matter. Sometimes, just a bad module can stop your website. Cheers, Tung
