How to reinstall only the database

Hi!

By mistake i have deleted some records in the database using phpmyadmin.

now i get an error when i click on category tab:
Category cannot be loaded

How can i fix it?

can i reinstall only the database?

Not that I'm aware of, you can create a new database and folder, install prestashop to that folder + database, and then copy over the tables you need.

it's always a good idea to have a live site, and a development one, where you can do things like accidentally delete database tables

But how do i install it? in the regular process of putting the prestashop folder and running the install folder?
since i have changed the look of the page + modules, and don't want to overwrite them.

Create a NEW directory on your server and place the install files in there.
Create a NEW database, and during the installation, enter those details.

You will not need to use this new installation, just copy the missing datavase tabkes from the new install to the you already have
