I would like to keep the shop in maintenance mode, but allow Search Bots to bypass maintenance mode and access website to improve ranking. Any advise? defuzed Posted May 4, 2015 Share Posted May 4, 2015 I actually haven't looked into it all but i would think it is not that simple since the maintenance mode is unlocked with IP's... Maybe there is a way to unlock it also for the googlebot user agent? What if you set your shop to catalog mode for now? It's unlikely that you will be using adwords or any other advertising if your production is not ready yet so i don't really see the harm in letting potential customers look at your future products for now.
