Writing the search and registration form from scratch

Hi.

 

I am trying to create a search field on my website, but I have no idea where to send form data for prestashop to intercept it and find id's of products that match the search query. Where should I address the form to?

 

I have that same question about the registration form. Each time someone buys something in my shop he has to register on the checkout page, the problem is - it doesn't work. Registration form returns an empty error and I would like to write my own form from scratch, so that I will know exactly what's failing in the future.

 

Where do I address form data to in those two situations?
