Name of Shipping Options Listed Twice

Using a theme on version 1.6.0.14.  When testing the checkout, I have discovered that when I get to .04 Shipping, it lists  shipping options with the amounts, but the shipping option name is listed twice right next to each other.  So, for example, it says "UPS Ground UPS Ground" in the same line.   I have attached a .pdf of the screen for review.  Any idea how to fix?

Thanks for the thought.  I did try to upgrade to the latest version relatively recently, but decided to go back since it messed with a bunch of stuff.  From what I can see there are not any duplicates.  Besides, it would seem to me that if that were the problem, it would list the whole line more than once or at least double up the $ amount as well, not just the name of the option??  Open to any more ideas...

Please check on your back-office if the carriers are added in double. The rule for carrier is: You add a new one. If you make a change on this one added, so Prestashop duplicates the carrier giving the new one (changed one) a new ID. This is normal behaviour and a need for your already added orders to be don't touched/changed. The change with new ID will apply than for all new orders incoming up from this changing date.

 

Normally the old carrier will not appear on new orders for to be selected !

 

Check if in your checkout the old and the new carrier is appearing. If yes, so it is a module bug (or a upgrade bug from the module) and you should revert to the developer of the module in question.

 

Another possibility: it is a theme problem and not a module problem. You have to check both.

Ok, I just figured it out.  I am embarrassed about how I missed this - it was right in front of me the whole time.  When I went back to look to the Carriers page to see if there were any duplications there, I noticed that the name column and the delay column had the identical text listed - both had the shipper name and both had the time of expected delivery.  When I edited a carrier, I deleted the time of expected delivery from the carrier name field and deleted the shipping method from the transit time field.  All good now.  Thanks for the effort to help me figure this out. 

 

If you want to tackle one that is harder, you can tell me how to get FedEx Ground to list in the shipping options when someone is checking out.  There are quite a few discussions on this topic and there do not appear to be too many solutions offered.
