Want my category back, help me

I have only made slightly changes to prestashop themes, but

Category disappears

I checked

database
administration(all category is visible and active)

I try

add new subcategory to main

Still empty, can somebody help

Looks like problem was that I added some javascript.

In blockcategories.tpl I comment $('div#categories_block_left ul.dhtml').hide(); and now it's back

Not a perfect solution, but now i am happy again

Missing categories usually happen because of javascript errors, the best thing to do it use firefox and look at the error log.
