Jadzia DeForest
I am trying to arrange the categories for my new PrestaShop store but everywhere I look online point so using the "Position" button to move categories up and down. My shop does NOT have this position button. How do I fix this? Attached is a screenshot showing the lack of the ability to reposition category display. Is this a major but in this version of PrestaShop? TGT_screenshot.pdf
dioniz
You probably need to upgrade to later version
Jadzia DeForest
I just upgraded to the latest version but there is still no Position option in the categories section. And now my site is stuck in Maintenance Mode. Any ideas what's going on here?
Jadzia DeForest
I tried clearing the cache, etc. but still stuck in maintenance mode. The store is online here: theguidingtree.com/pshop. Could the "Position" option on the categories be not showing up because of a module conflict? Or is there something wrong with the update to 1.6.0.14? mickeyboy1
You could check your AdminCategoriesController.php with the latest version to see if anything is missing This is in /controllers/admin/
Jadzia DeForest
I will check those files, thank you. The other problem I'm having is since upgrading to 1.6.0.14 my shop is stuck in Maintenance Mode when I enable the site. When I disable the site and put in my IP I can see the site fine. Why when I make it live does Maintenance Mode show on the live site?
Jadzia DeForest
There is no difference in the AdminCategoriesController.php file, it's exactly the same as the most recent PrestaShop version. Any other ideas why the Position option is not displaying?
Jadzia DeForest
Okay, I found out a couple of things... 1. If you're running multistore, after an upgrade, you need to enable all of the shops individually otherwise the site shows up in Maintenance Mode. 2. The Positions option turns off when Multistore is enabled. But I don't understand why it is doing that. Can you help with this?
Jadzia DeForest
Category position option solved. When using Multistore if you are in All Shops the Position option does not appear. Once you select a store then the Position option will appear for that store.
