Gipielle
Is a payment system, as is used in physical stores you're ready to use in an ecommerce. There is the need for Prestashop integrate this type of payment.

razaro
isn't applepay for ios devices and mobile apps? how would you use it on a website? Like bellini said in first post it is for ios devices and mobile apps. Check this http://www.authorize.net/support/applepayfaqs/ Do I need an app to use Apple Pay? Yes, you must have an iOS application that has been developed for and on the Apple platform and uses in-app purchases. It must also be an iOS 8 app in order to work on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Is Apple Pay another form of payment that I can use on my website, like PayPal or Visa Checkout? No, Apple Pay cannot currently be used as a payment type on your website.

Ray UK
Has anybody got any further with this yet ? It does state in the article "Sign up to Apple Pay on your iPhone or iPad and input your card details, then go to any website or app that supports Apple Pay, click the button, and you've made a purchase. Apple knows whom to charge because of the particular iPhone used. Card details are tied to the Apple device, much the same way card numbers are linked to iTunes and App Store accounts."...But I cant find anything on apple developers page yet https://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/ Edited August 17, 2015 by MerseyRay (see edit history)
bellini13
But just think about how Apple Pay works, and then try to answer this question. When you checkout on a website, are you going to touch your iPhone to your laptop or desktop monitor to pay? The developer guide also states... Apple Pay is a mobile payment technology that lets users give you their payment information for real-world goods and services in a way that is both convenient and secure. Ray UK
I know its not going to work on computers/laptop lol.. unless we get a NFC adaptor. Integrating into a website will probably come soon.. .its still in early stages.
bellini13
Well, once Apple releases an API for websites, I'm sure modules will be created. but that is up to Apple, and I have not seen anything about them supporting this
David C
I am evaluating Prestashop. Looking for a platform that can help with my mobile conversion rate. It is currently 30-50% that of my desktop conv rate. I could imagine iPhone users browsing on my Prestashop site. Currently, when they hit checkout, they have to enter a lot of billing information manually on the small keyboard. This is where conversion funnel rates start to drop. I mean.... who wants to enter all that data on the small screen. As merchants, we just hope that they go home, get on a computer, and remember to come back to our website to redo the entire process. With Apple Pay or a Google equivalent, wouldn't it be great if they can just use it to easily pay and complete their transaction on their phone without having to type that much? Just a finger print scan confirmation? This is where I would think Apple Pay integration with Prestashop. I see that Stripe has an official Prestashop module and they did announce support of Apple Pay. Hopefully, this would be a solution! But not sure if it supports websites as well as apps. [PrestaModule] Steph
There is also this one, which is dedicated to Apple Pay and all its features like : - pay from category pages - pay from product pages - pay from cart page - pay from payment page - auto login for your guests (they do not need to create an account on your website, and in order to place their order) - auto registration of your new customers which pay with Apple Pay - refunds management etc... Maybe the one from Srana already has this, but I was not able to find these features on their product sheet or demo. Please take a look to our own : http://addons.prestashop.com/en/23514-apple-pay.html If you have any question, feel free to ask
