alexpsc
Hello, Could anyone say a good tutorial (maybe a post blog) to learn how to migrate a PS Cloud to self hosting? I know there is no access to the database in PS Cloud, but I would know if a safe migration is possible. 1. What could be saved from the FTP of PS Cloud? Just the theme configuration? 2. The products, categories & CMS pages could be exported / imported though the backoffice? With a module? 3. Could the general configuration of the shop & modules be exported? With a module? Just typing in the new PS self-hosted? 4. What about the order & invoices? 5. What about the URLs & SEO? 6. Maybe opening a ticket in Cloud Support? If yes, what is the price? 0 LeukvanLieke
Halo, I made a ticket today at the service desk and this is what they told me. Hello,You can export your complete database directly from your back-office in the tab "Advanced Parameters" > "DB backup".Regarding your modules and themes, you can download them via FTP.In order to create a FTP access, you have to login to your account on https://www.prestashop.com, then go in My store > Store details > Add new FTP user.If you want, we can do a complete migration of your shop to your hosting thanks to following service : http://addons.prestashop.com/en/services/19155-migration-ticket-prestashop-cloud-to-prestashop-download-.html
0 alexpsc
Thanks for your help LeukvanLieke. So we can be autonomous getting all the data with "DB backup" & FTP. That's good. I was afraid can't access to the DB as I read many times that Prestashop Cloud doesn't allow to access to there.
0 selectshop.at
No. You can save your database, but not your FTP. FTP access to Prestashop Could is restricted to some folders only. You don't have access to the whole FTP, what makes impossible to back-up the shop and use this back-up for to migrate somewhere. With incomplete FTP you cannot move. You are not able to migrate PS Cloud to self hosted, without using paid services from Prestashop (what I heard about 400 euros).
0 _vg_
But if you can get a copy of your DB and you have your modules, you are able to re-upload almost everything you need to your new self-hosted store. Did I miss anything?
0 selectshop.at
But if you can get a copy of your DB and you have your modules, you are able to re-upload almost everything you need to your new self-hosted store. Did I miss anything? You can only get a back-up of your database on back-office, but you also need to have a copy of FULL FTP to run your shop somewhere. On Prestashop Cloud you don't have access to the full FTP and what is more important, not to the settings file (see which role this file is having below), and also not to the folder /images, so you cannot move it. Prestashop works with ID's and images are stored by ID's. You will loose them and need to upload all images again to your new FTP. When Prestashop is installed it adds security hashes to database and ta check key to the settings file. These hashes are paired and checked from database. If they are unpaired your database will not work. The only way to migrate your shop is to contract the paid service from Prestashop. BTW Prestashop Cloud is free, but the service is financed by the Addons and paid services.

I know there is no access to the database in PS Cloud, but I would know if a safe migration is possible.
