sandyfootprints
Hi Can anyone tell me how to enable the zip/postcode form field on checkout if it is not a required field for that country? I'm using prestashop 1.6 Thanks
NemoPS
I think the only way is to add it to the address format in the back office, not sure there are ways around it

RobbieBlokeToys
You can add it in the back office depending on country (selecting whether it is required or not) but it will then ALWAYS BE REQUIRED. There is no way that I have found for the postcode field to be visible but not required. Once you have it set to required (visible) you will probably then have customers getting errors on the postcode they use and they will abandon the cart. This is a problem that is ongoing, I know I'm not the only one experiencing it, but everyone is ignoring it. I have a feeling there are potentially hundreds of PS users who don't even know about this problem and wondering why they get so many abandoned carts. I'm still trying to work out how to make the postcode field VISIBLE but NOT REQUIRED. Tried pretty much everything in the address.tpl file and nothing seems to be working, keeps giving an error requiring postcode.
