wakabayashi
Hello I was just found with google this new test: http://ecommerce-platforms.com/compare/best-ecommerce-platform-seo Prestashop makes 28 out of 100 Points in this SEO test. While Magento makes 100! Do you think this test is relevant? Is prestashop really that bad in SEO?
moy2010
It's true that Prestashop isn't really powerful in SEO and that it needs to improve in this subject, but that article isn't 100% objective. To set the REL CANONICAL URL all you have to do is to set which category is the default AFAIK, and the article says it needs an add-on (Wut?).Also, the article mentions that you need an add-on to create a XML sitemap, which is true but... Who wouldn't really know this? Are really out there users that don't install Google's sitemap module? Etc., etc., etc.I mean, that article is really flawed IMHO.
NemoPS
I second Moy. Also, what is goGranny doing in there? That's not an ecommerce software, nor 1&1 is. Furthermore, speed is another ranking factor, and Magento is the slowest of the mentioned platforms, unless they mean the enterprise version. That said, they should have compared paid vs paid or free vs free, otherwise it makes little sense, imho
wakabayashi
Thanks for the answers. I also believe that prestashop is not that bad. But maybe such reviews helps to improve
