"Phone Number Required" When Guest Checkout is enabled

The Guest Checkout throws an error of Phone Number Required even when the phone number is present.

 

When I had guest checkout enabled no one could complete an order because the phone number would error.  No matter if they put the phone number in any format - I saw on other forums that this is a bug?

 

Any fixes?  This is a really important bug to fix.  I disabled "phone required" and it still erred and would not allow an order to be completed.

 

I couldn't find a thread on this.

 

My config is as follows:

 

PrestaShop version 1.6.0.14

Shop URL http://compactcampingconcepts.com/Store/

Current theme in use default-bootstrap

 

I've since disabled the guest checkout - and everything seems to be working fine. But Guest Checkout is important to us and I'd like to know how to fix this.

The guest checkout doesnt have a normal phone field, just cell. This solves the problem by adding normal phone
