export customers and products not same fields as sample

i'm starting with prestashop and tried to export some products and customers and then want to import them in another install of prestashop (both 1.6) but at the import there are example files and they contain more fields then my exports... 

my exports are not complete so not usable for me

what am i doing wrong ??

Do you export using the back office controller page? The export only includes the fields as shown in the grid.

To export more/all product fields, you can for example use the free module from Leemarkwood (haven't tried it, but seems to do the job)

thanks for the explanation Pascal, and for the links..

 

The first one did the job for me for the products !

though the second i install and it is nowhere to be found after install so not sure if it is compatible with 1.6 .... so think i search some more for how to export those... might try it using the sql export..
