Upgraded to 1.6.14 and lost icons, background changed, cart block

I would appreciate any help on any of these issues. I was running 1.6.11 with a customized theme. I upgraded to 1.6.14 and tried to update my theme to look like it did before. My current problems are...

 

- All icons disappeared (home icon, qty up down buttons, social buttons)

-The default background texture came back and I need it to just be white

-I moved the cart block to the nav bar, looks ok on desktop but makes the mobile version add black to the right side of the whole site and moves the cart block way to the right so you have to scroll horizontally to see it.

I updated my initial post with a screenshot of my store's address (I would prefer this doesn't crawl when people google my domain).

Bit strange, but try this. In folder /themes/showersurfer-new/ backup first then delete sass folder.

And in css folder check global.css and also there should be backup od before update so maybe you could try 

theme from it.

Thanks for your reply. I tried deleting the sass folder and also replacing it with the default theme sass folder - no change. I'm not sure what to check in the global file. What is the "od"? I appreciate your help.

UPDATE: I went back to my previous theme. It's not the way I want it to be ultimately but it at least shows the icons.
