Problem with sorting attribute

Recommended Posts

Hello at all,

i have a problem with sorting the attributes. I sell guitar picks and I have the first attribute "thickness" and the second attribute "shape" e.g. Boston Nylon - 0,73 mm, Shape - Standard. I have now allocated any attributes to different guitar picks and when I take a look int Catalog -> Supliers the attributes are mixed! Also when i go to my online store and put some different guitar picks in my cart. The cart are also mixed with the attributes.

It looks like "Boston Nylon - 0,73 mm, Shape - Standard" and the next shows like this "Shape - Standard, Boston Nylon - 0,88 mm".

My question: Is there a possibility of sorting, or what is wrong?

And yes, I always make the attribute in the same way. Under Catalog -> Attributes and groups -> Properties I select first "thickness" and secondly "shape" then I click on "Add this attribute". For better understanding here is a screenshot of my cart.

I hope, anybody understand what I am mean, because I am german and I can't posting in the german board.

Good morning/Guten Morgen,

thank you for the WIKI-link. I read the Chapter but it helps me not.

My problem is sorting the attributes! When I go to Catalog -> Attributes and groups and select first e.g. "thickness" with there attributes and second "shape" with there attributes, I have not subsequently in that order. Some attributes sorting right (1. thickness, 2. shape), but some attributes sorting wrong (1. shape, 2 thickness).

Also in the shop will be the first show the Drop-down Menu "thickness" than "shape" and in another article show first "shape" and than "thickness". Huh?

Hope, anybody understand my problem and can help.

P.S.: But one thing I have to say - Presta shop is absolutely great! I will try to change from my custom build (www.plectronic.com) shop to Presta. I think, it is make for me :-)

Hello again,

here is one more Screenshot (Back Office + Shop) to see what I mean. Maybe it's better understandable.

... one more coffee.

... one more coffee later.

I played around with the attributes names and I have noticed, that this will change the sorting but not alphabetically or something else. With the attributes here makes me very crazy, is there no possibility that attribute in the order determined?
