Upgrading 1.5.5 to 1.6.0.14, original image image is missing or empty

My website earlier version is 1.5.5 and I tried to upgrade to 1.6.0.14, list of issues found is :

 

1) module tab css was missing , but fix by reupload admin folder file

2) Original image is missing or empty and this is the most difficult part 

 

and i try to fix the second issues with this :

 

- legacy image set to yes -- > moving images -- > legacy images set to no --> regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- legacy image set to no -- > moving images -- > legacy images set to yes --> regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- legacy image set to no -- > moving images -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- legacy image set to yes  -- > moving images -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- img folder and sub folder permision change to 777 ---> moving images -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- img folder and sub folder permision change to 777 & file to 644 ---> moving images -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- Turn off friendly url -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- Turn off friendly url -- > Turn on friendly url -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

- Copy original .htaccess from default prestashop 1.6 -- > regenerate thumbnail -- > image still missing

 

 

And the result was same, the Original image still missing or empty.

 

Then i checked the img folder on cpanel for example :

 

" Original image is missing or empty (/home/xxxx/public_html/img/p/1/0/9/2/6/10926.jpg) for product ID 3493"

 

but the 10926.jpg was exist on that folder , and still confuse why prestashop cant read that original image.

 

 

Anyone has a solution for that ?

now i try to use image regenerator modul from github https://github.com/meetjey/imageRegeneratorPrestashop

Have you check whether you can open the image by typing www.XXX.com/img/p/1/0/9/2/6/10926.jpg  where www.XXX.com is the url to access your online store.

It may cause by the folder or file permission of img directory.

I have experience when I upgrade to 1.6.0.14 but just missing thumbnail files.

I have no images in front office at all, just question marks. Back office has all images

Clean install with no addons, new database (straight out of the box).

 

Any help would be much appreciated

Check whether you have 24.jpg in img/p/2/4/

if so, you should able to view it on browser like http://xxx.net.au/img/p/2/4/24.jp

if not, i believe the file or folder permission or .htaccess issue to block accessing the file.

Mine has 755 on my img/p/ directory. (or you can give me the actual URL to me for check further.)

yes I can access either way

 

the issue I'm having is with the front office retrieving the image. all I get is question marks where I should have images.

yups, i  can't see the image when i open www.XXX.com/img/p/1/0/9/2/6/10926.jpg  , also i have change the folder and sub folder permission to 755 and file to 644, but the error still showing and try to re-generate th .htaccess but the result still same.

Regenerate time 4 hours, and when regenerate 6000/13409 the server was time out.

the error was really difficult to solve.

Solved ....

 

Click moving image before upgrade to 1.6, ( i create another clone/copy site from backup on sub domain for experiment ). Altough my site was tcp time out when i click moving image button on 1.5 , but the structure IMG folder was change.
