In need of a way to remove color preview blocks in category view

Hi everyone!

 

This is my very first post on this forum, so I hope I got the topic a bit right.

I was wondering if there's a way to hide the color blocks underneath the product in the front office, when in the category view. An example of what I mean is included. So I don't want the colors to show up when the products are listed together in the category. But I do want to be able to display the colors when the product is clicked. I hope this is a bit clear

There are just so many colors and I really think it's too messy when all the colors are displayed in the category

 

Hoping for some good advice!

Try to remove following code from product-list.tpl  located in

themes/your_current_theme/product-list.tpl

 

Take a copy of it first then alter it. Comment out this code or remove it.

{if isset($product.color_list)}
<div class="color-list-container">{$product.color_list}</div>
