Order Confirmation emails without Payment

Recommended Posts

Interesting that someone hasn't already picked up on this problem!

The one question I have is that when taking manual orders (which I do on a regular basis) I want to have more payment options than just "Bank wire", "Payments by cheque" and "Braintree", which are the three my customers have to choose from.

(I'd also like to set Braintree as the default but can't work out how to do that.)

Firstly I'd like to add PayPal because currently I'm having to manually enter eBay orders into my shop because the free module by 202 Commerce doesn't work so I've uninstalled it. In a few months when I get my eBay site up and running I'll have to invest in a module that does work because it's a pain entering them manually.

Another payment I'd like to add is "Account" for customers that don't pay straight away. It seems to me that by selecting "Bank wire" or "Payments by cheque" it indicates that the customer's going to pay before the goods are shipped.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Hey Nick,

Can you clarify what you mean by setting Braintree as the default?

Hi Michael

Thanks for the module advice, I'll take a look.

In the manual order section the drop-down box defaults to "Bank wire" so if you press enter at the wrong point it puts that as the payment method. There's then no easy way of editing it without messing directly in the tables. Be good if Braintree came first because that's the most common selection.

Also it's a shame you can't manually enter the transaction id at this point, which seems like a glaring oversight. You can add a payment line to an existing order and include the transaction id then but at that point it's too late.

Cheers

Nick
